Your feedback: is this a useful platform for our home education research discussions?

Hi everyone,
On a couple of occasions now it has been suggested the email is not the most ideal means for our discussions. I've very quickly started this forum board as just one option for a central place for our home education research discussions (or "bespoke education" or "home school" or "..... *insert preferred term here!"). Can I get your feedback on whether you think this is an accessible, useful, and sustainable alternative? Have a play around and start your own thread if you like just to see how it works. One thing that will be necessary is some form of email alert to let us all know when a new post is added, since we can often have our quiet periods in the group, so I'll be interested to see how user-friendly it is on that front.
No offence taken if people don't like this... just something to try.
Katie

Thanks for starting this Katie
It is very similar to blackboard/Learnline as used in many Universities for their courses.

I'm glad to see it is now letting you reply, David! And well done on even uploading a user avatar!
Can someone please try starting a new thread to see that all users have that capability?
Thanks,
K
